Today, the hornist family Belloli almost has fallen into oblivion.
Luigi Belloli, his brother Agostino Belloli, Giuseppe Belloli and the two sons Luigi Bellolis, Giovanni and Giacomo belonged to this family. Everyone worked as hornists in different orchestras of Italy.
Have remained for compositions of Luigi, Agostino and Giuseppe Belloli.
Luigi Belloli at first played instruments in Parma as a hornist and went 1803 to the Milan Scala as 1st ornist. There he worked as teacher besides the orchestra service also in the conservatory until his death 1817. His brother Agostino followed him in his offices.

The score manuscript makes a note of the date of this concert September 1807.

This concerto is not so extremly virtuos (high) as the other concertos of Belloli.

Luigi Belloli

  • Concerto F -major for Horn and Orchestra "Denominato Il trionfo dell` Innocenza"

The score manuscript makes a note of the date of this concert February 26th, 1808. Listed sure in Milan. How it to the dedication "the triumph of the innocence" come has, can not be cleared obviously. The concert appears in the first edition.

Luigi Belloli

  • Gran Concerto for Horn and Orchestra

This is one of the most difficult concerts which was composed for horn. Belloli makes a note in the solo part of in addition numerous simplifications since it was conscious of the difficulties.

 As a date becomes June 17th, 1816 and Milan makes a note. The dedication on the title page (see on the right) is not clear. At first this could have been intended for Napoleon. However, it possible, this are also Belloli a composition planned "the battle at Wagram" with the title, used, however, the manuscript paper for the horn concert later.

The concert appears in the first edition.

Agostino Belloli

  • Concerto di corno da caccia

Études are of Agostino Bellolis compositional (under this creating horn quartets) and several concerts received for horn, chamber music. The concert introduced here arose the brother Luigi considerably later than the concert. The vocal line of this concert which principally requires the middle register of the horn impressively is.
