- First Edition - Peter Johann Fick ( - 1743)Concerto a 5 ex Dis a Corne de chasse,2 Violin, Alto con BassusThe unknown composer Peter Johann Fick is represented by at least 26 concertos, 6 baroque symphonies and other works which are kept in the music collection of the library Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. His life is handed down only scantily. 1730 he was employed as "Laquay Monsieur Fick" at the court of Schwerin. 1740 once again he is mentioned at this court as organist. He died in Schwerin 1743 and was buried in the cathedral on December 26th, 1743. He was not only a hardworking composer but also copier particularly of works by Vivaldi. These seemed to fill him with great enthusiasm. However, nobody knows exactly whether the work was composed by him or only copied. His name often appears with "di PJ Fick" on the title. Sometimes, the addition "di" is missing. This concerto, with the signature Mus 349/19, was very well recorded by Peter Damm and the Staatskapelle Dresden, Eterna 1978.
