The concerti for two, three and four horns of Schneider are edited for the first time by Robert Ostermeyer Music edition. These works belong to the rarities of the horn literature. The autographs, kept among many other works of Schneider in the university library Darmstadt until 1944,  were burnt during the Second World War. Since then, the music is said to be irretrievably lost. Fortunately, there are copies of some of Schneider's works kept in a library in the USA.
