3 Quintets  op.6

 for Horn and String Quartet

Louis François Dauprat was born in Paris, lived and died there (* 24th May 1781 in Paris, † 16th July 1868). His Trois quintetti  pour Cor , deux Violons, Alto et Violoncelle op. 6 were publised by Bochsa père in Paris. The music was dedicated to Dauprat's teacher of harmony "Monsieur Catel". This man was member of the Royal Academy for Fine Arts in Paris.

The quintets are comparable with those of Anton Reicha. They take about 25 minutes.
