Symphonie concertante for Clarinet, Horn, Bassoon and Orchestra F majorLouis Emmanuel Jadin was born in Versaille
21st September 1768. His father Jean B. Jadin played the violin in the court
chapel of Versaille together with his brother Georges Jadin playing the
bassoon. Louis Emmanual got his first music lesson by his father. He learnt
to play the violin. He became music donzel of Ludwig XVI and was taught
in piano by his brother. In 1789 he became second, in 1791 first Clavecinist
in the Théâtre de Monsieur. One year later he joined the Garde Nationale
being musician and composed numerous patriotic works. In 1802 he became
teacher for piano at the Concervatoire in Paris as the successor of this
brother. He was also orchestra leader at Théâtre Molière. During the restauration
Louis E. Jadin was announced educator for the boys at the Chapelle Royale.
He took leave in 1830 and lived near Monfort l'Amaury. He died in Paris
11th April 1853. Jadin was one of the famous violin players
in his time and was frequently sought after for chamber music piano player.
Jadin left a considerable amount of operas, masses, songs, concertos and
works for wind instruments as well as strings and of course piano music.
His "Simphonie Concertante" F Major appeared at the Parisian music publisher
Jean Georges Sieber between 1803 and 1805. Jadin dedicated his work to "son
Ami" Eller, apparently the clarinettist of the work. Further is noted down
on the pressure, that the hornist Frederic Duvernoy (1765 -- 1836) (in the
pressure Duvernois written) and the bassoonist Delcambre had performed this
work. The new edition also contains a transposed part of the C clarinet for
a more common B clarinet.
